The project is the result of three years of research and teaching in provincial middle schools - and beyond. We have collected suggestions, interviews and materials useful for writing. There is a general skeleton and a synopsis of the work. Some paintings have already been written. The staging is at an embryonic stage, with about 20 minutes worked on feet. It won't be a Teatro Ragazzi show. But a show that talks about kids, new generations, communication barriers. All rooted in concreteness, in reality and in the society in which we live. A distant place, a city adrift. In which the Mayor escaped, the Deputy Mayor untraceable. The Councilor for Labor Policies kicks homeless people, the one for Youth Policies is in for drug dealing. The Councilor for Culture is the absolute dictator and organizes the Foam Party every month. Here Pietro and Ariele teach in a middle school. Teaching has always been Pietro's dream – not Ariele's. Leave your mark, say the Latins. Twenty-three boys in front of them. They don't do theater, their parents don't want it, they find it useless. Together they do group work techniques. Freely based on a very true story.
