with Andrea Pennacchi and Nicola Bressi
Andrea Pennacchi and zoologist Nicola Bressi intertwine theater, science, and memory to explore the impact of alien species on local and global biodiversity. A dialogue in which Pennacchi's stories, bordering reality and fantasy, biography and Venetian folklore, intersect with Bressi's insights, exploring a bestiary of invasive creatures that populate our ecosystem, from the blue lagoon crab to the Po river catfish.
Pennacchi stages a narrative that oscillates between the magic of memories and the reality of climate change, alternating comedy and drama with unmistakable skill. Alien species thus become a powerful metaphor for social conflict, inviting audiences to reflect on the concept of "alien" and the need to redefine our relationship with the environment.
A poetic and provocative talk that explores the complexity of our times and calls for action and hope.
