The title comes from a play on words that fuses the famous saying "dirty linen is washed at home" with the concept of "frying" as a symbolic watershed between the master and servant relationship. While popular wisdom teaches us to keep family matters hidden within the home, it's equally true that those walls aren't always enough to contain the secrets, taboos, and unspoken words of the Mezzalira family. Like the olive oil they harvest, they spiral into a spiral of unfortunate events that will inevitably force them to come to terms with the outside world. All of this is seen and narrated by Giovanni Battista Mezzalira, known as "Petrusino," the youngest of the family. As an adult, he will chart a true arc of his life, in a kaleidoscope of memories that will force him to confront the ghosts of the past and discover that he wasn't the only one keeping a secret. A tragicomic tale that mixes the bright tones of Italian comedy with the dark hues of thriller.
