In this Moby Dick, which sees Moni Ovadia as the extraordinary protagonist, the theatrical narration begins on the Pequod, where the tragedy of all the characters will unfold – Queequeg, Pip, Ishmael, Stubb, Wool Goat, Tashtego, Perth – in a frenetic succession of storms, hunting trips, sightings, calms, songs, pagan rites and prayers.

And if in his maniacal quest for Moby Dick it is madness that drives Captain Ahab, it is on the level of the human conflict against Starbuck that Ahab knows horror: the hidden part of his own conscience.

Ahab's illness is Moby Dick, but Starbuck is its clinical manifestation. Moby Dick harms him with his "absence" where Starbuck does with her "presence."
