Pulcinella, today considered one of the most famous hand puppets in the history of European puppetry, confronts humanity's fears, personified by death and the devil, clashes with social power, and humiliates the police and political institutions in his classic scenes. With his street satire, he promotes freedom of thought and expression, while maintaining a childlike innocence and remaining a puppet adored by young spectators.

Although he's known for his caning, powerful blows with a stick that he generously delivers to his opponents, this tragicomic character is presented in a new light in this show, where he throws away his stick and demonstrates his new skill: playing with a ball. Past and present, tradition and modernity thus merge in a show that creates a genre of street theater that's both funny and raw, exciting and entertaining.
