Following the success of "Assange: Hit One to Educate a Hundred," Alessandro Di Battista stages the theatrical adaptation of his latest book, "Inconvenient Truths: From the War in Ukraine to the Gaza Massacre." A raw, courageous, and militant account of the massacres committed in the name of civilization, the incredible fake news that allowed them, and the cowardice of European politicians—and Italian ones in particular—who preferred to betray the general interest and constitutional principles in favor of the vested interests of big business and the arms industry.
Beginning with the conflict in Afghanistan, moving on to those in Iraq and Libya, Di Battista arrives at the war in Ukraine, demonstrating how the warmongering narrative and the Western media system operate. Di Battista recalls the origins of the war in Ukraine and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, rails against the exploitative use of anti-Semitism, and explains how and why Israel has gradually transformed into a country characterized by fundamentalism and state terrorism. Finally, after showing and narrating images and events from Gaza that the mainstream media hasn't the courage to show and recount, the author recalls how, paradoxically, the First Republic was characterized, at least in foreign policy, by a freedom unthinkable today. The monologue, lasting approximately 85 minutes, concludes with a message of hope, action, and participation: what we can do to continue to stand with the "wretched of the Earth"—and therefore, on the right side of history.
