A Catalogue of Farewells was born from Marta Ciappina's desire to say goodbye to the stage, entrusting five contemporary artists—Sotterraneo, Francesca Pennini, Silvia Gribaudi, Emio Greco, and Pieter C. Sholten—with the creation of short poetic objects spanning dance, action, and video. Each piece, though independent, intertwines with the others, composing a reflective portrait of farewell, somewhere between celebration and the disappearance of the performer.

In a sparse space reminiscent of a rehearsal room, Marta performs daily, ritualistic micro-gestures of the dancer, creating an alternation of solids and voids that transforms the farewell into a poetic meditation on the art of scenic survival. The title evokes the idea of a list, a catalog, an archive, inviting the audience to leaf through a poetic manual that seeks the eternity of gesture.
