In a dreamlike and minimalist space, in a house in the Slovenian woods suspended between the borderland and the afterlife, the spotlight is turned on a forced and anything but peaceful coexistence.
Two women have been sharing the room with the most beautiful view for a few months. But that relationship, which never really blossomed, already seems to have reached its end.
One is gruff, cynical, and a lover of solitude and books. The other, on the other hand, is cheerful, enthusiastic, kind... and terribly talkative. A clash between the two is inevitable.
Determined to get rid of her, one of the two has always managed to scare away all her roommates in the past. And the newcomer seems destined to be next.
When the perfect opportunity finally presents itself, however, the newcomer turns out to be a much more stubborn opponent than expected: not only does she refuse to leave, but she also demands the most comfortable bed in the room.
Accustomed to the gambling of overseas casinos, the two then make a pact: a bet on each other's emotions.
If one manages to make the other lose patience, the latter will have to leave.
What initially appears to be a war of innocent pranks and provocations quickly escalates, becoming distorted throughout the show.
Between sharp jokes, surreal situations, and tests that stretch their limits, the two women will always push themselves further, allowing fragilities, cracks, and unspoken truths to emerge.
The comedy thus slowly transforms into an investigation into our souls: how much of who we are truly belongs to our nature? And how much is merely a defense constructed for survival?
When initial attempts fail, the challenge takes an increasingly bizarre and irresistible turn. The two will grotesquely surpass every limit, engaging affections, memories, and anecdotes, until they unmask a past far removed from the reassuring image of two harmless ladies.
They'll never be a perfect match. But perhaps they'll agree on one truth: a well-placed joke leaves no visible wounds... but scars that speak for themselves.
A dark and irresistibly funny psychological comedy.
