Tonight we're talking about salt. White gold (but not only white gold), as it was once called and remains so today. A unique journey through storytelling, music, and curiosities dedicated to this precious element, from a universal but above all local perspective: Trieste, Muggia, and Piran, with their salt mines and their history. Salt, a mineral, often loved and equally feared, has been a key player in history, not only economic history but also global history. Salt has been a crucial element in human health and growth; it has stimulated exchanges, relationships, and wars. It has fueled literary, culinary, and musical imagination. As indispensable as water, with which it finds a perfect balance, it regulates the life and history of every living being.
