Penelope, the iconic figure of waiting, is trapped in a domestic odyssey. For twenty years, she has awaited the return of her husband, Odysseus, the hero of a now-forgotten war. While Odysseus wanders the Mediterranean, Penelope rules over Ithaca, besieged by suitors who threaten her son and her kingdom. The play explores the strength and stubbornness of a woman relegated to a secondary role in legend, offering a unique perspective on her life and her struggle to maintain power in a male-dominated world.
